Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed did not come out on the field on day four of the second Test against Australia after he was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a bouncer.
The Australian camp also has an injury concern in opener Usman Khawaja, who was ruled out with an injury to his knee.
The Pakistan captain was batting on 33 when he was struck by a bouncer from Peter Siddle on his helmet in the second innings on Wednesday.

But the 31-year old continued batting and ended with 81 runs off 123 balls which helped his team set Australia a daunting target of 538 runs.
Pakistan would be led by Asad Shafiq in place of Ahmed while the wicketkeeping duties would be taken up by Mohammad Rizwan.
The Australian camp also would be heavily missing the services of Usman Khawaja who has suffered a mensical tear in his left knee which would need to be operated on.
The left-hander who saved the first Test match with a strokeful innings of 141 runs is now doubtful for the home series against India which gets underway on December 6 in Adelaide. In the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner, Khawaja is currently Australia’s best batsman in the longest format.
