On September 1, 2020, Poonam Pandey tied the knot with her long time beau Sam Bombay. The couple soon took off to Goa for their honeymoon. Now, in a shocking turn of events, on Tuesday, the actress has got her husband arrested in Goa for molesting, threatening, and assaulting her, said the police.
The Nasha actress was shooting for a film in Canacona village in south Goa where the incident happened. Inspector Tukaram Chavan of Canacona police station told PTI, “Pandey filed a complaint late Monday night claiming her husband Sam Bombay had molested her and threatened her with dire consequences after assaulting her. He was arrested.”
“The victim was subjected to mandatory medical tests,” said the inspector.
On Friday, Poonam had shared a video with her husband and had captioned it saying, “Having the best honeymoon :)”
They got engaged amid the nationwide lockdown, back in July. Poonam Pandey tied the knot with boyfriend Sam Bombay in a low key ceremony at their home in Bandra, sharing a photo from her wedding, she took to her social media handle and captioned it as, “Here’s looking forward to seven lifetimes with you.” Reportedly, they were nearly in a live-in relationship for two years.
Earlier, in an interview with the Times Of India, she called Sam and herself ‘the most notorious couple’ and even called him her ‘best friend’
