Rumours of former President Pranab Mukherjee’s demise have been rife on social media. Amid speculation, Pranab Mukherjee’s son Abhijit Mukherjee has confirmed that the former President is alive and ‘haemodynamically stable’. His sister Sharmistha too did the same.
Abhijit Mukherjee tweeted,

The tweets from former president’s children came shortly after “#ripPranabMukherjee” started trending on social media platform Twitter.
Pranab Mukherjee was admitted to the hospital in Delhi Cantonment on August 10. He had tested postive for COVID-19.
The former President of India underwent a surgery for removal of a clot in his brain. Since then his condition was quite critical.
The doctors attending him said that his condition had worsened on Tuesday and that he had not shown signs of improvement. A team of doctors is constantly monitoring the health of the former president.
