Prem Kahani: Karan Johar kickstarts prep work for Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer?

Owing to the pandemic Coronavirus outspread in India, the production work of several Bollywood movies have been stalled. Because of the uncertainty in showbiz, Karan Johar reportedly has put his most ambitious project-Takht on the back burner. However, the filmmaker is said to have kickstarted the prep work for his upcoming romantic comedy. According to the latest reports, KJo began the pre-production work for Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer which has been titled, Prem Kahani.

Karan Johar alongside his team of writers has locked up the script and its dialogue draft for Prem Kahani. And they have also kickstarted the prep work for the same. A source while talking about the project informed Bollywood Hungama, “The makers were on the lookout for a quirky yet relatable title and that’s when they zeroed in on Prem Kahani. The film is essentially a love story of two completely opposite characters, and the audience will get a glimpse of vintage Karan Johar, whose films at one point, were just meant to spread happiness, and take the audience in a fairy tale world.”

Reportedly including Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film is said to have an interesting cast onboard for Prem Kahani. And this one would mark Karan Johar’s comeback in direction as well.

The source further informs the outlet, “The first step is to get the crew vaccinated, and this will be followed by getting on the sets to kick off the first schedule. It’s all work in progress with set designing and other aspects being looked after in isolation. The music settings have also begun, as being a romantic saga, there lies ample scope for good music.”

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s most recent collaboration is Gully Boy. Their onscreen chemistry was received well by the audience. And few of their dialogues went viral on the internet.
