Priyanka Chopra slammed for her Anti-Indian Plot on ‘Quantico’

Our Desi girl Priyanka Chopra is now an international star. She is seen on the TV-series ‘Quantico’ where she plays an FBI agent. The show is produced by ABC.

She has been trolled before for her accent or her meeting the Rohingyas. Now she is being trolled for her character FBI agent Alex Parrish, who is planning to carry out a nuclear attack in Manhattan and frame Pakistanis for it days before a summit on Kashmir. Chopra’s character thwarts the plot after noticing a Hindu symbol — the rudraksha — on a chain worn by one of the terrorists.

A twitter handle calling itself Hindu Americans took to Twitter to post about the same. The tweet read, “You have crossed a line with your hateful attack on peaceful Hindus in your ridiculous new show on @QyanticoTV @QuanticoWriters. Shame on you! We are calling for a boycott of you & your advertisers associated with you. You are a dumb airhead serving Western masters to bash India.

ABC Studios released a statement, clarifying that Chopra had no role in writing or directing the show: “ABC Studios and the executive producers of ‘Quantico’ would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, “The Blood of Romeo.” The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it. She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series. ‘Quantico’ is a work of fiction. The show has featured antagonists of many different ethnicities and backgrounds, but in this case, we inadvertently and regrettably stepped into a complex political issue. It was certainly not our intention to offend anyone,” the statement said.

The episode has stirred a lot of emotions and the target of these emotions is Priyanka Chopra. ABC even had to release a statement in her defence that said Chopra had no involvement in the casting or the making of the show.

She was criticized by many people for her part in the show.
