Rajinikanth donates Rs. 50 Lakhs to Tamil Nadu COVID relief funds

The nation is currently dealing with Coronavirus-led crises. The hospitals across all the states are overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients and many states recently had reported suffering a shortage in oxygen and vaccine supply. Superstar, Rajinikanth makes the donation of Rs. 50 lakhs to Tamil Nadu’s COVID-19 relief funds. The actor met TN Cheif Minister MK Stalin to make the donations.

Just a few days ago Rajinikanth took the second dose of the Coronavirus vaccine. His daughter, Soundaraya posted the pictures on social media. The new picture goes viral on the internet today, wherein Rajinikanth can be seen making the donation of Rs. 50 lakh. The actor is all smiles with MK Stalin as he contributes towards the Tamil Nadu COVID-19 fight. According to ANI, Rajinikanth said, “I appealed to the people to strictly follow COVID restriction favoured by the govt to control the pandemic.”

On the other side, Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundaraya also made a contribution towards COVID-19 relief funds. She had shared on her Twitter about donating a whopping sum alongside husband Vishagan, father-in-law Vanangamudi and her sister-in-law. “My father-in-law Mr S.S.Vanangamudi, husband Vishagan, his sister and I visited the honorable Chief minister @mkstalin sir this morning to hand over our contribution of 1cr for the chief ministers #CoronaReliefFund from our pharma company Apex laboratories, Makers of #Zincovit (sic),” read her post.
