Months after John Abraham announced he will star in debutante director Lakshya Raj Anand’s film titled Attack, there are reports doing the rounds that Rakul Preet Singh will be a part of the film. Earlier there were reports making rounds social media, Jacqueline Fernandez will play lead role in John Abraham’s Attack, now, if the report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, Rakul Preet will also play a pivotal role in the film.
According to reports, John Abraham will not only star in the action thriller but also produce the film under his home banner.
A source close to Pinkvilla said, “It’s a two-heroine project. Both the roles are really powerful and action-oriented. The team was scouting for two good looking actors who can also perform and do stunts really well. It’s then that they took the film to Rakul Preet Singh. She was their first choice for the role.”
As per the report, Rakul loved the script and has already given her nod play action role in the film. The source adds, “She loved the script and her role in it. The final modalities are being worked out. Post that, the team will make an official announcement of the same soon. It goes on floors in January next year.”
On the professional front, Rakul has had a good year as of now as her two film De De Pyaar De and Marjaavaan worked well at the box office. She’s currently shooting for Nikkhil’s next production venture that also features Arjun Kapoor.
John Abraham has scores of films lined up for release including Pagalpanti, Mumbai Saga, Satyameva Jayate 2 and Attack. Besides these movies, he also wish to produce a bike racing film with producer Bhushan Kumar.
