Ram Setu: 45 crew members test positive for COVID-19

Akshay Kumar who has been shooting for his upcoming film, ‘Ram Setu’ has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The actor shared the news with his fans via Instagram. However, soon after it was informed that 45 crew members on the sets have also tested positive.

FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) General Secretary Ashok Dubey confirmed the news and said that the team has been taking full precautions, and the 45 crew members from our Junior Artistes Association who have tested positive have been quarantined. The shooting of Akshay’s forthcoming film ‘Ram Setu’ has been halted for the same reason. The actor and film producer Vikram Malhotra decided to make it mandatory for everyone to get tested for the virus.

‘Ram Setu’ also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. The film is being bankrolled by Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Films, and Amazon Prime Video.

On Monday, the ‘Good Newwz’ actor has been hospitalized. The news was shared by the actor on his social media, “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care.”

Earlier today, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal have been the latest Bollywood celebrities to contract the deadly virus.
