Veteran actress Simi Garewal is all set to be back with her much loved chat show. Yes, the actress will be returning with her iconic celeb chat show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. This will be after a gap of 15 years. The first guest on the popular show that will premiere soon is Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
Speaking to Midday Garewal confirmed the news and said, “I have never revealed names till I’ve shot the episode. But I’ll reveal this — Deepika and Ranveer have promised their first interview together (as a married couple) for Rendezvous.”
Speaking about the format of her show she added, “Why would I change the format (to include) more gossip and games? People resort to games when they cannot make a conversation. It’s an easy way out. No research needed! (But) Rendezvous is about getting to ‘know’ the person I get many messages from viewers saying they are tired of the present format of talk shows.”
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will soon be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s next directorial venture, Chhapaak. The movie has Deepika playing the role of Laxmi Agarwal an acid attack survivor. The movie also has Mirzapur actor Vikrant Massey. Chhapaak is all set to release on January 2020.
Deepika will also be sharing screen space with her husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ’83’. She will essay the role of Romi Dev, Kapil Dev’s wife. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh also has Karan Johar’s’Takht’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ in his kitty.
