A star-studded 6th and 7th edition of Sakshi Excellence Awards was recently held in Hyderabad. The starry event took place at the Jubilee Hills JRC Convention Centre here. The former edition was postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu win big at the star-studded event.
Tollywood Superstars Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun won the Best Actor Awards for the year 2019 and 2021 respectively. The duo’s biggest hits Maharshi (2019) and Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo (2020) fetched them the excellence award.
Mahesh Maharshi Babu’s also bagged the Best Director and Best Film awards (2019). They were received by director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju respectively.
Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo won five awards in different categories.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo bagged five awards in the sixth and seventh editions of the Sakshi Excellence Awards. Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde won the best actor and actress awards. Trivikram Srinivas won the best director award. Producer Radha Krishna won the best film award. Music composer Thaman scored it big for music.
On the work front, Allu Arjun will be next seen in Pushpa. Directed by Sukumar, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles. The movie will hit the screens during Christmas weekend.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is currently busy with Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The movie is produced by Mahesh Babu’s home production GMB Entertainment along with Mythri Movie Makers 14 Reels Plus. Directed by Parasuramit also features Keerthy Suresh and will release on January 2022 during the festive weekend of Makar Sankranthi.
