Saroj Khan’s Prayer Meet Cancelled Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Legendary choreographer Saroj Khan left for her heavenly abode on June 3, 2020. Her demise has left her fans, family, and Bollywood colleagues in a state of grief. Saroj Khan loving addressed as Masterji passed away due to a cardiac arrest. The 71-year-old was laid to rest in Mumbai’s suburbs on Friday morning amidst close family members.

It was reported that Saroj Khan’s prayer meet will be held on the 3rd day of the demise.

Now her family has shared a heartwarming portrait on her official Instagram account and thanked fans for their prayers. They also revealed that the prayer meet which was scheduled for next week has been canceled. The reason being the current coronavirus situation.

Taking to Instagram Saroj Khan’s daughter Sukaina Khan wrote, “Thank You for all your messages and for keeping Mummy in your prayers. Given the current COVID-19 situation, there will be no prayer meet. Whenever the situation improves, we will meet and celebrate the life of Saroj Khan. 🙏 (sic).”

Talking about her mother, Sukaina Khan said, “My mother was my hero. She was the greatest influence in my life. She was both a mother and father to me. My mum was my fighter. From the age of 13 to 71, she has done everything to fend for us and give us a full life. She has never complained and was the man of the house.”
