Satyameva Jayate 2: John Abraham-Divya Khosla Kumar’s Film Postponed Due To COVID-19

The Coronavirus outspread in India has shown a rapid surge over the last few weeks leading the nation towards dealing with oxygen and vaccine crises. The highest single-day rise recorded on Sunday i.e April 25 was 3.49 lakh fresh cases, making it the highest spike ever since the pandemic hit the country. Considering the second wave of the pandemic, the makers of Satyameva Jayate 2 have announced postponing the release date.

John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 is one of the most anticipated films from Bollywood. The release date of the second installment of the Satyameva Jayate franchise was earlier scheduled to be released on May 13. However, the date has been now changed. The director, Milap Zaveri shared the update with movie buffs on social media. The new release date is yet to be unleashed.

“Stay Safe India. Be strong. Help those you can. This too shall pass. See you soon at the movies,” wrote the director in the caption of his post.

After announcing the postponement of the release date for Satyameva Jayate 2, the makers would avoid a box-office clash with Salman Khan starrer Radhe, which is slated to be released on May 13. SK’s film will be apparently releasing in 20 countries and it will be available for the audience to watch in theaters as well as on the OTT platform as a per-per-view format.
