Legendary James Bond actor Sean Connery passes away, Hrithik Roshan, Hugh Jackman others pay tributes

Legendary actor Sean Connery, who shot to international stardom as the suave James Bond in the iconic spy series passed away. The Scottish movie legend was 90 years old. The Edinburgh-born Hollywood superstar died peacefully in his sleep in Nassau, the Bahamas. He had been keeping unwell since some time confirmed his son.

A statement from Sir Sean’s publicist said: “His wife Micheline and his two sons, Jason and Stephane, have confirmed that he died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family. There will be a private ceremony followed by a memorial yet to be planned once the virus has ended.

Sir Sean Connery, played Bond between 1962-71. He first played James Bond in Dr No in 1962 and went on to appear in five other official films. Also unofficial Never Say Never Again in 1983. He won a string of acting awards including an Oscar, two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes. He was also knighted by the Queen in Holyrood Palace in 2000.

My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.”
