Chandrakanta Goyal, mother of Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal breathed her last at the age of 88 in Mumbai on Saturday i.e June 6. Sharing the news with his social media followers, the railway minister took to his Twitter handle and shared a heartfelt emotional post remembering his beloved mother.
Piyush in his Tweet post wrote, “My mother, who always showed me the path with her affection and love, passed away this morning. She spent her whole life in service and also inspired us to do the same. May she rest in peace”.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath also mourned the sad demise of her. He took to his Twitter handle and shared a heartfelt note.
Chandrakant was a three-term MLA from Matunga in Mumbai and the Goyal family has always shown great contribution towards social work. Her family has been associated with Jan Sangh and BJP.
