Six Killed In A Godown Collapse After A Massive Explosion In Ahmedabad

On Wednesday a massive fire reportedly broke out of a godwon in Ahmedabad. After the explosion the godown is said have collapsed, which killed around six people. Apparently, the fire personnel’s had pulled out around 12 people from the rubble and shifted them to LG Hospital.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has joined ongoing rescue operation at the collapsed cloth godown. The fire accident apparently took place on Piplaj road in Ahmedabad and Pirana-Piplaj Road collapsed due to the massive explosion after a fire, as per the reports. As per a report by news agency PTI, Chief Fire Officer MF Dastur while talking about the incident informed, “Fire personnel rushed to the spot upon learning about the explosion and pulled out 14 persons from the rubble till now. All were shifted to LG Hospital in ‘108’ ambulances.”
