Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have got married in South Indian style at Italy’s scenic Lake Como on Wednesday morning. The couple will next take the vows in a traditional Sindhi manner on November 15, 2018.

Die-hard fans of Deepika and Ranveer on Twitter were equally excited and have been sharing tags such as ‘DeepikaWedsRanveer’ and ‘DeepVeerKiShaadi’ and ‘DeepVeerWedding’ which have been trending. They were now eager to catch a glimpse of the power couple in their wedding finery, but were in for a disappointment as the couple did not share any pictures on social media leaving fans waiting with bated breaths for scraps of information.

Union Minister Smriti Irani has aptly described how the wait for the first pictures of the couple seems like a never-ending one. Posting a picture of a skeleton on her Instagram page, she wrote,”When you have waited for Deep-Veer wedding pics for too longgggg.”

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been in a relationship for six long years but affirmed it when they shared the news of their nuptials with fans. The duo flew off to Italy with their families for three-day wedding festivities.

On their return to the country post their wedding, the couple will host reception in Bengaluru and Mumbai respectively for their family and friends.
