Popular Audio Streaming Platform Spotify Launches In India At Rs.129 Per Month

Spotify finally enters into the Indian market, with over 40million DRM-protected music and podcast. The service is available on various platforms, single-account signup is enough to use anywhere anytime. Spotify users can choose from four different plans along with a 30-day free trial to enjoy premium features without paying.

Starting from 1-Day subscription Spotify Premium cost – Rs.13 for a day, Rs.39 for a week, Rs.129 for a month, Rs.719 for 6 months and Rs.1189 for a full year. Those who want to test can start with a 30-day trial after signing up for 1-month premium service. Apple Music, Amazon Prime Music, SoundCloud, Gaana, Saavn are the top five apps in the market that adds a lot of flavors for entertainment. Almost all services offer similar paid plans where they don’t serve ads, along with free access. It relies on end-user how they react and prefers to go for a paid service

Spotify launch was quiet, the announcement is not hyped either promoted enough to catch the attention of the Indian audience. Genre & Mood section offers content on the basis of local taste, this will help users to choose something of their interest. Sections like Bollywood, Punjabi, Tamil, Punjabi, Party, etc. are featured on top followed by more options like R&B, Rock, Indie, Jazz, etc.

Spotify also brings some exclusive playlist based on activities like Sleep, Workout, Gaming, Focus, Soul, etc. to offer a blend of mood and music environment, but ample of songs in the list does not include regional or Bollywood music.
