She has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada language films. Today marks late Bollywood actress Sridevi’s 58th birth anniversary, on this occasion, here are 5 films of the legendary actress that will always be remembered.

1. Mr. India

Mr. India focuses on Arun Verma (Anil Kapoor), a poor street violinist and philanthropist who receives a cloaking device that grants him invisibility. While renting out his house to pay his debts, he meets the journalist Seema Sohni (Sridevi) and falls in love with her. Mr. India was released on 25 May 1987 and it emerged as a commercial success and became the second highest-grossing Indian film of the year.

The film stars Sridevi in the titular role of Chandni Mathur, a young effervescent woman torn between two suitors. Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, Sushma Seth, Mita Vashisht, Manohar Singh are featured in supporting roles. The film became the third highest-grossing Indian film of 1989.

The film stars Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, and Urmila Matondkar in lead roles. Kader Khan, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Upasana Singh, and Saeed Jaffrey. The film is about Kajal, who is lured by wealth, asks her husband, Raj, an honest engineer, to get married to Janhvi, the rich daughter of his boss. Little does she know about the problems that await her.

The narrative revolves around a woman named Shashi, a small entrepreneur who makes snacks. Shashi enrolls in an English-speaking course to stop her husband and daughter mocking her lack of English skills and gains self-respect in the process. It stars Sridevi, Adil Hussain, French actor Mehdi Nebbou, and Priya Anand.

The film stars Sridevi as a vigilante who sets out to avenge her stepdaughter after she is sexually assaulted at a party. It also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna, and Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in supporting roles. The film marked Sridevi’s 300th and final major film appearance before her death on 24 February 2018
