Forbes Asia has launched its inaugural 100 Most Influential Digital Stars list. It has singers, bands, and film and TV stars from across the Asia-Pacific region who have taken the digital world by storm. From Bollywood, we have Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan and many others as the biggest superstars who have the power to influence the country’s teeming population.

These celebs through the medium of social media have garnered millions of loyal followers across popular platforms.

Forbes Asia highlights that this list comes at an exceptional time. It is during these testing times when the global population was locked inside their homes to curb COVID-19 Pandemic. These celebs managed to remain active using social media to interact with their fans, raise awareness, inspire optimism.

Amitabh Bachchan has been credited for raising USD 7 million. Akshay Kumar also got a mention for donating USD 4 million. Shah Rukh Khan is acknowledged for being honoured by the World Economic Forum (WEF)for championing women’s and children’s rights. Ranveer Singh was hailed for his film Padmaavat that has been termed as 10th highest-grossing Bollywood film.

Alia Bhatt was mentioned as ‘part of Bollywood family dynasty’ and is called as one of India’s highest-paid actresses. Anushka Sharma has been acknowledged for advocating for women’s and environmental causes. Shahid Kapoor has been credited for his film Kabir Singh which was the second highest-grossing film of the year.

Also mentioned were the K-pop boy band BTS, girl band ‘BlackPink’ and ‘Exo’ also made it to list.
