Sushant Singh Rajput’s family claims it as a ‘murder’ and not ‘abetment to suicide’ in CBI statement

On August 7, 2020, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over Sushant Singh Rajput’s case and on Monday the CBI started its probe and has recorded the statements of Sushant Singh’s father KK Singh, and his sister with her husband. In the statement, the family claims that the late actor was murdered.

According to a report in Times Now, SSR’s sister and father, in their statement said that the CBI must look into the case as a case of murder and not as abetment to suicide. The family recorded their statement at the residence of his son-in-law OP Singh, who is the Police commissioner of Faridabad. It is reported that the CBI will also go through the statements recorded by the Bihar police in Mumbai.

The CBI will also seek help from the health professionals to understand the autopsy report of the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor, as well as to understand his mental health condition. Sushant Singh Rajput’s other sisters and the four-member Patna Police team who had come to Mumbai to investigate the case will also be questioned by CBI, reports.

On Monday, SSR’s girlfriend and actor Rhea Chakraborty has filed a fresh affidavit in the Supreme Court stating unfair trial by media.

The affidavit read as: “The petitioner (Rhea Chakraborty) is already convicted by media even before a fowl-play in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is established. Extreme trauma and infringement of privacy of the rights of the petitioner is caused due to constant sensationalisation of this case.”
