Suriya To Play A Double Role In Director Vetri Maaran’s Upcoming Film?

Renowned south director Vetri Maaran, who is acclaimed for his films like Visaaranai and Vada Chennai, is reportedly working with actor Suriya for his next project. While there is no official title for the upcoming south film, reports suggest that it could be called Vaadivaasal. Moreover, the latest rumors indicate that the Vetri Maaran film will feature Suriya in the lead.

In addition, there are also hints suggesting that the actor could be playing a double role in the film. However, the makers have yet to make an official announcement regarding Suriya’s character. We will also have to wait to find out if the actor is playing a double role in the film. The tentatively titled Vaadivaasal was announced in December last year.

Moreover, the film will feature music director GV Prakash. It is expected to go on floors once the COVID-19 lockdown is over. As per reports, the south star would join the cast and crew of the film after the lockdown is lifted. Meanwhile, news reports suggest that the film could have Suriya portray the role of a father and son.

If the reports prove to be true, it would not be the first time the actor would portray such a role. He has done father and son double roles in films like Vaaranam Aayiram by Gautham Vasudev Menon, and 24 by Vikram Kumar.

On the work front, Suriya will be looking forward to the release of Soorarai Pottru. The highly anticipated film has been directed by Sudha Kongara.
