After registering a grand victory on its first day at Box office window, Thugs of Hindostan has witnessed a sharp decline in its collections. In the first three days of its theatrical run, one of the most anticipated movies of the year starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan fetched Rs 105 crore. It was expected that Thugs of Hindostan will see a hike on Sunday but, it’s downfall continued.

On its fourth day, Thugs Of Hindostan further went down as it has merely collected 16-16.50 cr at Box office.

On Saturday, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the figures on his Twitter handle which reads, “The DOWNFALL continues… #ThugsOfHindostan gets weaker with each passing day… With biz declining further on Day 3 [Sat], the writing is clear on the wall… Will find it tough to sustain from Day 5 [Mon] onwards… #TOH.”

Adding on, he posted another tweet, “#ThugsOfHindostan HINDI: Thu 50.75 cr, Fri 28.25 cr, Sat 22.75 cr. Total: ₹ 101.75 cr TAMIL + TELUGU: Thu 1.50 cr, Fri 1 cr, Sat 75 lakhs. Total: ₹ 3.25 cr Total: ₹ 105 cr [5000 screens] India biz. #TOH.”

On its firstday, Thugs Of Hindostan has surpassed the first-day collection of Dangal (Rs 29.78 crore), which currently holds the record for the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

The film Thugs Of Hindostan was released across 7000 screens worldwide, as opposed to Dangal’s 5300 screens, which may have had a role to play. Ticket prices were also increased for Aamir’s latest release.

The amount may have been fantastic for common people but is worrying for the makers of Thugs of Hindostan. It is all for the negative reviews movie if facing.

The film is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Its story revolves around the ‘thugs’ led by the fierce Khudabaksh (Amitabh Bachchan), who poses a threat to the John Clive-led East India Company in 1795 Hindostan. The British recruit Firangi Mallah (Aamir Khan) infiltrates the band of rebels and get them the leader of the thugs.
