Golfing champion Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident. He was rushed to a hospital and underwent surgeries for several leg injuries. Tiger Woods was in the driver’s seat of an SUV when his car swerved and ended up on its side down a steep roadway in the Los Angeles suburbs on Tuesday morning.
As per CNN report, Tiger Wood was driving shortly after 7 a.m. near Los Angeles. The SUV he was using crossed a median and went across two lanes of road before hitting a curb, hitting a tree and landing on its side off the roadway in the brush.
Though his seatbelt was fastened the SUV was a wreck and rescue workers had to pry Tiger Woods out of the mangled SUV. Both his legs are seriously injured. Hew as lucid enough to give his name to the sheriff. The popular golfer was soon rushed to a hospital.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Carlos Gonzalez said Tiger was lucid enough to tell his name. At that moment, it clicked in my mind and I immediately recognized him as Tiger Woods,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Carlos Gonzalez said Tuesday.
The firefighters had to use a pry bar and an axe to free the golfer. He was lucid when they transported him to a hospital. Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, said he was in surgery with multiple injuries, according to Golf Digest.
