Actress Urmila Matondkar has made her debut in politics this year by joining Congress. She stood against BJP’s sitting lawmaker Gopal Chinayya Shetty in Mumbai North and currently trailing behind. Mumbai North’s population is of Gujarati and it is obvious that the majority of the population has voted for the BJP candidate. Though in her campaigns, Urmila has promised to bring changes in the constituency, but going by the poll it seems to be difficult for the Rangeela actress to get a victory.
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old took to her Twitter handle to tell that ‘the signatures and the machine numbers are different on the form of EVM 17C from Magathane’. She also said that ‘a complaint has been filed with the Election Commission.’

The Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency covers Borivali, Dahisar, Magathane, Kandivali East, Charkop and Malad West and for the first time, the state had four-phase polling in Lok Sabha elections.
In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Gopal Shetty won against former Mumbai chief Sanjay Nirupam by four lakh votes. On that note, Urmila Matondkar’s chance of winning the election is quite scanty.
Meanwhile, the BJP-led Modi government is leading ahead of Congress and celebrations have started in the BJP headquarter Delhi. PM Modi will meet BJP workers today evening at 5:30 pm at the party office.
