Uttarakhand Landslides: The Landslides Takes Place In Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway; No Casualties Reported

Heavy rainfalls have started in several states of India. Due to heavy waterfalls, several landslides were reported in the country. Now, a mountainous areas in the Uttarakhand witnesses massive landslide, which took place on Sunday i.e August 23.

According to a report by ANI, the landslide occurred at the Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway near Beasi in Tehri Garhwal district. According to the report, there was no casualty reported from the slides. Following the weather conditions, the Meteorological Department had apparently predicted heavy rainfall in many districts of Uttarakhand. Here, take a look at the landslides.

According to the weather prediction heavy rainfall is expected in the districts such as Uttarkashi, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Almora, Nainital, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar. Following the waterfall, several roads in the state have been closed. Reportedly, approximately 117 roads were shut down to the heavy rain and landsliding issues.
