Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan starrer, ‘Pink’ had managed to garner many accolades from the audience as well as critics. The film did a great job at the ticket counters. As per the latest reports, the remake of this film is under progress, which would be released in Telugu and it is titled as ‘Vakeel Saab’. The court drama features Pawan Kalyan for the role protrayed by Big B. Apparently, Shruti Haasan has now confirmed that she bagged a role opposite Kalyan.
As per a recent report in Indiaglitz, Shruti in interview confirmed that she is part of ‘Vakeel Saab’. She will be portraying the role of Pawan Kalyan’s wife in the film (the part that was played by Vidya Balan in Nerkonda Paarvai opposite Ajith). Nivetha Thomas stepped into the shoes of Taapsee Pannu. Telugu actress Anjali and Ananya Nagalla are reprising the roles of Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang from the original Hindi film.
Shruti Haasan has earlier collaborate with Pawan Kalyan in ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Katamrayudu’. And the duo is known for giving hit films at the box-office.
Talking about the film, ‘Vakeel Saab’ is will be helmed by Venu Sriram and the film is being co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju. The first look of Pawan Kalyan as a lawyer was already released, however, as per the reports the makers are planning to bring something special on actor’s birthday i.e September 2.
