‘Dhadak’ director Shashank Khaitan turned a year older to ring in his birthday a host of Bollywood celebrities dropped over at his residence. Video of the actors rining in the popular director’s birthday is viral on social media.
Celebs like Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Rohit Dhawan, Tahira Kashyap and more attended the birthday bash at Shashank’s residence. Karan Johar took to his Instagram to share a video of Shashank cutting the cake while the actors singing happy birthday. At one point the entire group is heard singing, “jor se bolo, Happy Birthday”.
Karan captioned the post, “Happy birthday @shashankkhaitan ❤️❤️❤️”. Check out the video here:
Varun looked cool in a funky printed shirt teamed with grey jeans and black shoes while Arjun looked dashing in a black t-shirt and pants with flip flops. Ayushmann, on the other hand, decided to go for an all-white attire. Janhvi looked stunning in a black cami top with blue ripped jeans and sneakers.

Shashank made his directorial debut in 2014 with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. This was followed by Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). In 2018, he directed Dhadak, which marked the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor. The film also starred Ishaan Khatter in the lead.
Now, Shashank is set to direct ‘Mr Lele’, starring Varun Dhawan. The film will be produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. Mr. Lele has been slated for 2021 release.
