Bollywood actor and Kathak Guru Veeru Krishnan passed away in Mumbai on Saturday. Krishnan was well known for starring in films like Raja Hindustani, Dulhe Raja, Akele Hum Akele Tum and many more. He was also a master of Kathak and trained many celebrities in the said dance form. He had also taught Kathak to a number of Bollywood stars including Priyanka Chopra, Athiya Shetty, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif to name a few.
Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to mourn the loss of their ‘guruji’.

Bigg Boss 12 contestant Karanvir Bohra was trained extensively under the Pandit. Sharing an old video of him with his Guruji, Karanvir wrote,
Actress Lara Dutta too condoled the death of the Kathak maestro,
May his soul Rest In Peace.
