Pati Patni Aur Woh Actress Vidya Sinha is On Ventilator in Mumbai’s Hospital

Veteran actress Vidya Sinha — who is known for her roles in Pati Patni Aur Woh and Chhoti Si Baat — was admitted to hospital after complaining of difficulty in breathing on Thursday. According to reports, Vidya Sinha is currently undergoing treatment in CritiCare hospital in Mumbai. She is currently on ventilator support.

Vidya Sinha, who made her Bollywood debut with Raja Kaka in 1974 was diagnosed with lung and heart disorders. The Ex-Miss Bombay is currently stable while doctors are yet to decided the discharge date of her.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a hospital official informed Hindustan Times that Vidya is “much better” and she is well on her way to recovery. “Her prolonged medical issues had aggravated, leading to breathlessness and she even developed heart and lung disorders, leading to more breathlessness. All that has been taken care of,” the official added.

The report further states that the officials have not yet decided the date of her discharge. After taking a hiatus from films, the actress made her comeback to Hindi cinema with Salman Khan’s Bodyguard. She is a known face on television and has worked with Ekta Kapoor in Kaavyanjali (2006).

Speaking about the change Bollywood witnessed over the period of time, she had earlier said, “In our times we too had romantic scenes but they were dealt with a lot of sensitivity, but some of today’s films are so bold that they can’t be seen with our family and kids.”

The beautiful actress made her acting debut after marrying to her neighbour Venkateshwaran Iyer in 1968. She had adopted a daughter and Jhanvi. After the death of her first husband in 1996, she married Netaji Bhimrao Salunkhe in 2001. However, due to troublesome in their relationship, she divorced Salunkhe in 2009. In the same year, she filed a complaint of domestic violence against her former husband in January 2009.
