On Monday, January 11, 2021, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma embraced parenthood as the couple became proud parents to a baby girl. Soon after, Virat’s brother shared an image of an infant’s feet, to welcome the new addition to their family. The photo led fans to believe that it is the first photo of Virushka’s daughter and it immediately went viral on the internet. “Happiness overboard… angel in the house,” he wrote in his caption.
However, now, Vikas Kohli issued a clarification on his Instagram handle stating that the image shared by him was not real. “Guys, let me clarify that the picture I posted yesterday to congratulate Anushka and Virat is a random picture and not the actual picture of the baby… as some media channels are reporting… posting to clarify,” read Vikas’s note.

Virat took to social media to share the excitement on the arrival of his baby. He wrote, “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.”
In August 2019, Virushka shared the news of pregnancy, on their respective social media handle and wrote, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”
