Virat Kohli surpasses Brendon McCullum in all-time T20I run-getters list

Skipper Virat Kohli played out a gem of an innings of 61 runs as he led India to a series-levelling win in the third T20 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday.

Kohli’s unbeaten knock which was laced four fours and two sixes that came off 41 balls helped India get to the total with two balls.

The 30-year-old in the process reached to 2,144 runs in T20Is as he went past former New Zealand skipper and explosive batsman Brendon McCullum’s mark of 2,140 runs.

Kohli now stands in the fourth place in the all-time highest run-scorers in T20Is. He is only behind, Kiwi batsman Martin Guptill (2,271 runs), Rohit Sharma (2,237 runs) and Shoaib Malik (2,190 runs).
