Watch: Shane Warne accurately anticipates Cheteshwar Pujara’s dismissal

Shane Warne accurately predicted the dismissal of India's Cheteshwar Pujara on the fourth day of the first Test in Adelaide.

Former Australian spin bowling legend Shane Warne accurately predicted the dismissal of India’s Cheteshwar Pujara on the fourth day of the first Test in Adelaide.

Pujara who was accompanied by vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane had added 83 runs for the fourth wicket. The Saurashtra batsman, who had scored a hundred in the first innings was well-set on 70 and looked good for another big score. But Nathan Lyon, who had earlier dismissed Indian skipper Virat Kohli on the third day set up Pujara’s wicket with the latter being caught by Aaron Finch.

Warne, who was on air commentating for Fox Cricket predicted, “This is only the best over Lyon has bowled today. And all he has done is bowled at the right spot and had the right field. He could get the wicket here if this just lands this last one, he has build it up beautifully.”

His comments on live TV was soon followed by the dismissal as Warne’s co-commentator said, ” There you go, there you go, you called it Shane Warne, absolutely perfect. The perfect over, the perfect finish. And how Australia needed that.”

Warne also praised Lyon, saying, “Excellent stuff from Nathan Lyon. It was just pure patience. He got the field right, he got the bowling right, everything was right. He just had to finish the over up, he did that. And the main man, Pujara, who got the hundred in the first innings. He got 71 here. He was the rock for India. He has done a great job for them. It took just a nice bit of patience and good bowling from Nathan Lyon and he has produced the wicket Australia desperately needed.”
