The star Indian batsman, who is also ranked number one in the world in Test cricket would be one to watch out for in the upcoming Test series given his current form and his love-affair with the country when it came to scoring runs.

In a video of India’s net sessions posted by Cricket Australia on Twitter, it is seen that the Indian captain is seen stepping out of his crease to a delivery from Kuldeep Yadav and send it over the mid-wicket fence.

India, while playing overseas generally have the knack of having one spinner in the XI. In this case, Ravichandran Ashwin makes the cut ahead of the young Kuldeep, who would have to wait a little longer for his turn.

In the drawn match against Cricket Australia XI, Ashwin bowled 40 overs, Jadeja 11 overs and Kuldeep, just one. Ashwin ended up with 2 wickets, conceding 122 runs. The rest of the overs were shared by the pace battery comprising of Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav.
