When Anupam Kher was mistaken to be former Prime Minister ‘Manmohan Singh’

The film stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014.

Anupam Kher took to social media to introduce the remaining cast of The Accidental Prime Minister. Yes, you heard it right. The Accidental Prime Minister is an upcoming 2018 Indian biographical political drama film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari.

Before this, he made a initial post unveiling the looks of reel Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. He revealed the actors essaying the roles of LK Advani, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Shivraj Patil and the onscreen politicians look on point.

The film stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance. The film is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru. It is scheduled to release on 21 December 2018.

While Aahana Kumra of Lipstick Under My Burkha is set to essay the role of Priyanka Gandhi, Akshaye Khanna will be stepping into the shoes of the PM’s media adviser Sanjay Baru. Divya Seth Shah will reprise the role of Manmohan Singh’s wife, Gursharan Kaur.

Principle photography begun on 5 April 2018 in London. The London-based shooting schedule concluded on 21 April 2018 and next is India.
