Xiaomi officially launches the Mi Smart Watch with smart and fitness features

Xiaomi has launched the long awaited Mi Watch at an event in Beijing today. The company also launched the Mi TV 5 series, Mi TV 5 Pro series and Mi CC9 Pro.  The starting price for the Mi Watch is 1299 Yuan. This comes down to about Rs 13,000 in Indian currency.

There are two models of the Xiaomi smart Watch. Xiaomi Watch Privilege is the high-end edition of the watch. It has a four-curved sapphire glass with a high-gloss stainless steel body, a  stainless steel chain strap and a ceramic back cover. This edition of the watch has a price tag of 1999 Yuan or Rs 20,000. The second model is the basic one and costs 1299 Yuan as mentioned above.

The Mi Watch has a 1.78-inch AMOLED screen that gives 326 PPI. It is designed to make it easier for user to read notifications, messages and e-mails. The Watch has a 570mAh battery. Xiaomi has provided the smartphone with valuable features like GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC.

The Mi Watch has a variety of smart features and fitness features. It allows users to accept or reject calls, read or send messages and emails, and to play or pause music. Physical activities like swimming or running can also be tracked with the watch along with the user’s heart rate. Step counting is also a feature available in the new Mi Watch.

Indian users, however, will have to wait for further updates from the company. For now, Mi Watch has been launched solely in China with no reports on whether Xiaomi will launch the Watch in India.
