On Saturday evening, at least three terrorists were eliminated by Security personnel in an overnight encounter which broke out on the outskirts of Srinagar. In the encounter, one soldier was injured during the operation, which lasted almost 17 hours.
As per reports, a 14-year-old is among the killed terrorists, who had been missing from his house for the last few weeks.
According to reports, the security forces had launched a search operation on Saturday evening after receiving specific intelligence input about the presence of terrorists at a house at Mujgund village, located around 11 kms from Srinagar.
The police said that the terrorists had been moving from house to house to evade the security forces. In order to prevent any untoward incident, authorities have suspended mobile internet services in Srinagar district.
