Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is the eldest son of Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav. He is the current leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly and the youngest opposition leader in the country. With him being elected as the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, it marked a spectacular comeback even for his father Lalu Prasad Yadav who had been in the political doldrums after suffering decisive defeats in consecutive state and central polls.

Fact no. 1:
The Central Bureau of Investigation registered a case of corruption against Yadav and his family on July 5, 2017. On July 27, the Enforcement Directorate registered another criminal case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Fact no. 2:
Tejashwi Yadav served as the deputy Chief Minister for the state of Bihar between Nov 2015 and July 2017.
Fact no. 3:
In 2015, he became a first-time MLA from Raghopur in Vaishali district and went on to be elected in the Bihar Legislative Assembly from the Raghopur constituency as a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal in the same year.
Fact no. 4:
He dropped out of DPS Patna without completing his basic school education after he failed in 9th class and was humiliated by many politicians to have become the deputy Chief Minister of Patna in a state with the lowest literacy rates.

He was touted to be among the youngest Deputy Chief Minister as he assumed office at the age of 26.
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is not only an Indian politician but also a former cricketer. Yadav’s tryst with cricket was as middle-order batsman in one Ranji Trophy match and two limited-overs games for Jharkhand. He was also a part of the Delhi Daredevils Team in the years 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012.

To solve the infrastructure issue in Bihar he released a WhatsApp number (9470001346). The aim was to get people to click a picture of bad road conditions and send it in order to get repair work done. Instead, he received 44,000 marriage proposals via Whatsapp.
