Popular actor from South industry, Vijayakanth who is the founder of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) party has been admitted to a private hospital based in Chennai. According to the media outlets, he complained about problems in normal breathing and thus he had to be rushed to a hospital mid-night.
Reportedly, a team of doctors are monitoring his health condition. The official statement issued by his party states that he was admitted to the hospital to get his general health check-up done on Wednesday i.e May 18. He is expected to get discharged in just two or three days. Much details about his health condition have not been shared by the hospital as of yet.
For the unversed, Vijayakath had tested positive for Coronavirus back in September last year. He was discharged from the hospital in October and since then he had been keeping a low public profile. His wife, Premalatha had also tested positive for COVID-19 and reportedly, she was asked for the home quarantine.
