CONFIRMED: Aditya Roy Kapur To Play Lead In Hindi Remake Of ‘Thadam’

Producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani have now joined hands together for the Hindi remake of the Tamil-language action thriller film ‘Thadam.’ Now, Aditya Roy Kapur has been roped in the essay the main lead role in the film.

In the film, Kapur will be playing a double role in two completely different avatars. The yet-to-be-titled movie is expected to hit the floors in September this year.

The official social media handle shared the news and wrote: “We’re excited to announce our next, a thriller starring #AdityaRoyKapur in a double role for the first time. Hindi remake of the Tamil hit, #Thadam. To be directed by #VardhanKetkar. Produced by #BhushanKumar’s @TSeries & @MuradKhetani’s @Cine1Studios @aseem_arora”

In an official statement, the ‘Aashiqui 2’ actor said: “I am inspired and excited to be part of telling such an interesting story. The original film was incredibly riveting and entertaining, and it left a lasting impression on me. As an actor, getting a chance to do a double role is double the preparation and double the challenge, and I’m certainly up for it.”

On the work front, Aditya has two digital releases last year including Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’ and Anurag Basu’s ‘Ludo.’ His last theatrical release was ‘Malang’ which also starred Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu. Next, he will be seen in ‘Om: The Battle Within’ alongside Sanjana Sanghi, directed by Kapil Verma and produced by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan, and Shaira Khan.
