Amitabh Bachchan admitted to hospital for liver problem?

Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly been admitted to hospital since past three days. As per TOI reports, The Shahenshah was admitted in Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital for a liver problem on Tuesday at around 2 am. He is at present being treated in a special room which is like an ICU. His family members have been visiting him there.

Not many know that Big B is a ‘tuberculosis survivor’ and a ‘Hepatitis B survivor’. Recently in an interview, the actor had shared a shocking confession that he is functioning on only 25% of his liver. Big B had contracted the Hepatitis B virus during blood transfusion from one of his blood donors in 1982 when he was hospitalised due to near-fatal accident on the ‘Coolie’ sets, He had revealed this in an awareness video by UNICEF.

But sources reported to Quint that these were just rumours. The actor had gone to the hospital for a routine check-up. Bachchan had tweeted his karwa chauth greetings to his fans and followers on Twitter on Thursday night.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in Gulaabo Sitabo, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, and Brahamastra, starring real-life couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. He also has Jhund in his kitty.

On 24 October, the legendary actor was “unanimously selected” for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his immense contribution to cinema. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India’s highest honour given in the field of cinematic art.
