Anil Kapoor made his debut lead role in the film, ‘Woh 7 Din’, a remake of the hit Tamil film, ‘Antha Ezhu Naatkal’, released in 1981.
He was not the first choice for Mr. India. Earlier it was offered to Amitabh Bachchan and later Rajesh Khanna, however, both the superstars rejected the film.
Not many know that Anil Kapoor is a trained semi-classical singer. He has sung ‘Pyar Kiya Nahi Jaata’ from ‘Woh 7 Din’ in 1983 and ‘I Love You’ from ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’ in 2000.
The actor’s wife is a well-known costume designer Sunita Bambhani.
