Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh, who had marked his Bollywood debut in 2016’s controversial film ‘Udta Punjab’, has created a niche for himself by giving some amazing performances in movies like ‘Welcome to New York’ and ‘Soorma’. Now, he is all set to star in Maddock Films and T-Series’ ‘Arjun Patiala’ that also features Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma.
The makers of ‘Arjun Patiala’ are set to release the comedy-drama next year and the release date was revealed by Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh on his social media handle.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted a new poster and also revealed the release date of the laughter riot.
The movie, that is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dinesh Vijan and Sandeep Leyzell, has Diljit Dosanjh playing the titular role of ‘Arjun Patiala’, a quirky cop. Kriti Sanon plays a journalist with a TV channel. Actor Varun Sharma is depicting the role of Diljit’s sidekick. The comic caper is set in Punjab and is being helmed by Rohit Jugraj. It was slated to release on September 13, 2018 but will now release on May 3, 2019.
On the work front, Kriti has four films lined up for release next year, ‘Luka Chuppi’ with Kartik Aaryan, ‘Arjun Patiala’ with Diljit Dosanjh, ‘Panipat’ with Arjun Kapoor and ‘Housefull 4’ with Akshay Kumar.
Diljit will also be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Good News’. The movie also features Kiara Advani, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar.
