MCU’s most loved film ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ was a roller coaster ride of emotions for fans. The movie was all about bringing back all the loved characters back to life who were lost since Thanos snapped his fingers. It was also to save the universe. But to do so proved costly, as not only Black Widow jumped to a heroic conclusion but Iron Man too sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos once and for all.
Tony’s death scene was truly heartbreaking but Tony’s thought as he takes his last breath will leave you emotionally drained for sure. Yes, in the script that has been made public by the makers it has been revealed what were Tony’s last thoughts before dying.
As per comicbook.com, In the screenplay, as Stark takes his last few breaths, we see Stark doesn’t say anything apart from “Hey Pep,” but the narration reads as, “He stares at her, tears welling. I’m sorry.” It seems that he was asking forgiveness for leaving behind Pepper and his daughter Morgan Stark behind.
This particular moment was not featured in the final cut of the film. As we know Iron Man has always been burdened with the idea that he’s responsible for keeping the world safe. To ensure a future for humanity he sacrifices everything he’s loved.
