National Award-winning blockbuster Badhaai Ho is celebrating two years of its release. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer went on to mint at the box office. On this special occasion, the makers Junglee Pictures have announced its sequel titled ‘Badhaai Do’. The movie will go on floors in January 2021. It has Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar sharing screen space for the first time.

Badhaai Do has Rajkummar Rao playing the role of a Delhi cop. He was also seen donning the role of a cop in Aamir Khan starrer Talaash. Rao will be seen as the only male cop in an all Mahila thana. While Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a school PT teacher.
The story and characters of ‘Badhaai Do’ are different from ‘Badhaai Ho’. But the two have one thing in common both are family entertainers.
Badhaai Ho was directed by Amit Sharma and it won two National Awards. The Best Popular Film Award Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Supporting Actress Award for Surkeha Sikri.
Badhaai Do will be directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni. It will be going on floor in January 2021.
