BCCI Unveils New ‘Billion Cheers’ Jersey Of Indian Cricket Team

The BCCI has unveiled Team India’s new kit for T20 Worl Cup. The Billion Cheers Jersey will replace the navy-blue retro jersey with blue, green, white and red stripes inspired by the 1992 World Cup. The Indian Cricket Team will be sporting the new jersey at the men’s T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman from October 17 to November 14.

BCCI took to their Twitter handle and wrote, “Presenting the Billion Cheers Jersey! The patterns on the jersey are inspired by the billion cheers of the fans,”

The image shared by BCCI in the tweet is of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah sporting the new kit. The kit features dark blue colour with orange in the collar part. It has the country’s name in the middle. The Logo of the BCCI is printed on the left side. It is known as the Billion Cheers Jersey as the patterns on it are inspired by the billion cheers of the fans.

The jersey is launched by the athleisure brand MPL Sports. The official sponsors of the Indian Cricket Team till December 2023.

The T20 World Cup has the Indian cricket team slotted in Group 2. It has Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and the two qualifiers from Round 1. The Men in Blue will play against Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai.
