Drinking water is more harmful than urine-Bhopal.

Dr Subhash C Pandey, an environmentalist has tested Bhopal water from railway station, government hospitals, universities and colleges, municipal corporation tanks, hand pumps and others and as per his test, the level of the level of coliform bacteria and total dissolved solids – comprising inorganic salts, mainly calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonates, chlorides, sulfates , coliform are dissolved in water which is 2,400 times more than the permissible limit and it can lead toward many stomach, hair and skin related issues. The water is even worse than urine, he concluded.

“We found urinal bacteria and TDS in the drinking water of Bhopal railway station, Sultania Women Hospital, Hamidia Hospital, and Nadra Bus stand, and heavy metal iron in Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya (MVM) College beyond permissible limit,” said Pandey.

Pandey, who headed the project, carried out the tests in his certified lab named ‘Janta Ki Lab’ in Bhopal.

Bhopal has an history of polluted waste, which has affected the residents.
