‘Bigg Boss 14’ Contestant Jasmin Bhasin Reacts To Horrific Hathras Gang Rape Case

Film industry as well as TV industry voiced on social media against the gang rape of a 19-year-old Dalit girl who succumbed to her injuries in Delhi. She was brutally gang-raped at Hathras, U.P. The incident shocked the entire nation, which led several people to protest to deliver justice to the girl and her family. ‘Naagin 4’ fame, Jasmin Bhasin who participated in Bigg Boss 14 reacted to this horrific case. Are we animals, she questions?

Here is what she said:

According to the statement issued by the actresses team, ‘ She said. “The Hathras gang rape case has been shocking. When the Nirbhaya case happened, the country was in shock. But it pains me to see that there has been yet another heinous case, and for all you know, there must have been many more which haven’t been reported. I just want to ask one question? Are we animals? What is the reason for such animality? It breaks my heart to see what the family had to go through even after her death. The fact that justice is delayed in these cases is one of the reasons why people are not very scared.”

She further states that the accused must be punished as soon as it’s possible for the officials. “Also, there is a general perception that the accused might not even get caught or be punished for the crime, which makes it easier for them to do such heinous acts. I feel that the accused should be given the harshest punishment. In many countries, rapists are castrated, we must also have similar laws,” she says.

Jasmin is currently locked inside Bigg Boss house. She had made an eye-grabbing entry alongside Nikki Tamboli and Eijaz Khan in the BB House.
