BlackPink members are now official advocates for UN Climate Change Conference

BlackPink’s Jisoo, Lisa, Rose and Jennie are now official advocates for UN Climate Change Conference. These girls have been welcomed on board to lead the conference in a formal appointment ceremony. After the success of their recent songs, these Kpop idols have become worldwide famous. The appointment ceremony took place at the British Ambassador’s residence in Seoul on Thursday and four members received a personal letter from Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Earlier BlackPink members had posted a video on their official YouTube handle, calling up the Blink’s to join in the global fight against climate change. President has congratulated the four girls mentioning the great message that they have delivered in their video post. President stated in his letter, “Your recent video ‘Climate Action in Your Area #COP26’ was a huge success, being viewed over 10 million times across social media platforms. Climate change is the most important issue of our time… it is fantastic that you have chosen this moment to lend your voices to this critical issue.”

For the unversed, the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference is slated to take place in the United Kingdom in November 2021. Renowned celebrities would be attending this event call people to join in to take quick actions to prevent earth and to combat climate change. BlackPink enjoys massive popularity on social media and it appears that the girls are now ready to contribute to society to a greater extend.
