Booker T Doesn’t Believe That Eric Bischoff Deserves A Hall Of Fame Induction

WWE

Two-time Hall of Famer Booker T has shared that in his opinion former President of World Championship Wrestling Eric Bischoff doesn’t deserve to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame.

While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast on ESPN, Booker T explained the reason behind his words. He said that he didn’t have anything bad to say about Bischoff. However, he thinks that Eric Bischoff doesn’t deserve a spot on WWE’s Hall of Fame due to the way he handled WCW. In addition, Booker T said that the promotion went down in flames when Eric Bischoff wrote himself in an on-screen storyline.

“I just thought that was the recipe for disaster, and the demise at the end of the day, for WCW. I just don’t know, people can say ‘well Vince McMahon, he played a part in the company.’ Well, it was his money. It was his company. Eric Bischoff was hired to do a certain job, and I say the same thing about Vince Russo.”

Booker T also discussed the moves that led to the downfall of WCW. He said that hiring Vince Russo as a writer was one such move. Just like Bischoff, Russo also made himself a part of active storylines. He even went on to win the WCW Heavyweight Championship.

Booker T pointed out that after Vince Russo joined the promotion, the ratings fell flat. He also added that many top wrestlers in the company were unhappy with their bookings and management.

While Eric Bischoff has not responded to Booker T’s comments yet, we might soon hear his opinion through his 83 Weeks podcast.
