Cristiano Ronaldo’s trip to Manchester United in the Champions League would no longer be a distant dream after the UEFA stated that he would face just a one-match ban, following his red card during Juventus’ match against Valencia.
The 33-year old, making his Champions League debut for Juventus, was sent off by the referee in the first half for his clash with Jeison Murillo, but his side managed to come out on top at the end with a comfortable 2-0 victory.

The former Real Madrid man thus would miss the match against Swiss champions Young Boys next week. Juventus play Manchester United on October 23 in the Champions League and then would host the Premier League club on November 7.
A five-time Champions League and Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldo’s first success in the European competition came in 2008 during his stay at Manchester United and after a year, he completed his move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

He went on to taste success in the Champions League with Real Madrid for three consecutive seasons before departing to Juventus to take up a challenge in the Serie A, which is Italy’s top-flight football competition.
So far, he has netted three goals of the Turin-based club.
